Jayne Wilson produces poetic documentary portraits of place and filmic montages that are preoccupied with social narratives, scientific legacies and memories. Teetering on the edge of the explanatory fact and fiction collide in filmed sequences and reappropriated images that, through deliberately ambiguous and unconventional means, foster a curiosity for the truth whilst subverting it. She has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, lectures in collaborative film practice and is co-director and lead programmer of Short Circuit experimental documentary screenings.
